First elected in 2006, Senator Webb is an expert on military affairs and foreign diplomacy.  He serves on the Senate Armed Services, Foreign Affairs, and Veterans Affairs Committees, as well as the Joint Economic Committee.   He currently chairs both the Foreign Relations Subcommittee on East Asian and Pacific Affairs and the Armed Services Personnel Subcommittee. 

Senator Webb, whom The Atlantic called one of the world’s 27 “Brave Thinkers”, has shown a life-long commitment toward protecting America’s national security interests, promoting economic fairness and social justice, and increasing the accountability of government.  He has gained respect for the many issues he has championed during his first term in Congress, including:  American criminal justice system reform, opposition to the war in Iraq, minority access to education, wartime contracting reform, and immigration reform.

In 2008, Mark Udall was elected to the United States Senate, following his five term career in the U.S. House of Representatives.  After only 16 days in the Senate, he became the senior senator from Colorado when then-Senator Ken Salazar was appointed Secretary of the Interior.

Senator Udall's family is no stranger to public service. His father, Morris "Mo" Udall, served in the U.S. House of Representatives for 30 years and ran for the Democratic nomination for President in 1976. His uncle, Stewart, is widely revered for his accomplishments while serving as Secretary of the Interior under U.S. Presidents Kennedy and Johnson. In 2008, Mark's cousin, Tom Udall, was elected to the Senate from New Mexico.

Senator Udall currently serves on three committees:  Armed Services, Energy and Natural Resources, and the Special Committee on Aging.  An avid outdoorsman, Senator Udall Chairs the Subcommittee on National Parks.

Congressman Darrell Issa represents the people of California’s 49th Congressional District, a seat he has held since 2001.  The 49th District includes Camp Pendleton, the largest Marine Corps training facility in the United States, and the northern portions of San Diego County and southwest Riverside County.

Congressman Issa currently serves as Ranking Member of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, which has legislative jurisdiction over the District of Columbia, the government procurement process, federal personnel systems, and the Postal Service.  The Committee also has the ability to conduct investigations into any federal program and any matter with federal policy implications “from national security to homeland security grants, from federal workforce policies to regulatory reform and reorganization authority, from information technology procurements at individual agencies to government-wide data security standards.”

The congressman is also a member of the Judiciary Committee, where he has seats on the Subcommittee on the Courts and Competition Policy and the Subcommittee on Commercial and Administrative Law.
